DWS is the brand name under which DWS Group GmbH & Co. KGaA and its subsidiaries operate their business activities.

This website contains certain data in the format of the European MiFID Template (“EMT”) in relation to investment funds of DWS registered for public distribution (hereinafter referred to as “MiFID II Data”). The MiFID II Data are created by DWS against the background of certain new disclosure requirements applicable to investment firms from January 3, 2018, on, in particular pursuant to Directive 2014/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 May 2014 on markets in financial instruments (“MiFID II Directive”) and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/565 of 25 April 2016 supplementing the MiFID II Directive (together referred to as the “MiFID II Regulations”).

The purpose of providing the MiFID II Data via the EMT is to assist those Distributors wishing to comply, or to become compliant (the “DWS Distributors”), with requirements pursuant to the MiFID II Regulations. The MiFID II Data is also made available upon request to investors or potential investors of the relevant funds subject to applicable law and regulations (the “DWS Investors”) in order to comply with the principle of fair treatment of investors. DWS Distributors and DWS Investors are hereinafter referred to as a “Receiving Party” or jointly as “Receiving Parties”.

Important Note: The provision of MiFID II Data via the EMT upon request of the Receiving Party does neither constitute distribution nor investment advice with regard to an investment fund of DWS. Further, any investment restrictions or sales restrictions applicable to the relevant investment fund remain unaffected. DWS does not permit the use of the MiFID II Data for any other purpose than stated in this document.

Subject to the terms of any separate agreement the Receiving Party may have entered into with DWS, if any, the MiFID II Data is made available to the Receiving Party under the following conditions:

  • The Receiving Parties should assess themselves independently whether or whether not the MiFID II Data fits their own purposes. DWS does not accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever in relation to the MiFID II Data except in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
  • It is the DWS Distributor’s sole responsibility to make any necessary or recommended adjustments to the information in the MiFID II Data, including such amendments which may be required or advisable under the relevant national implementation laws of the MiFID II Directive.
  • DWS makes the MiFID II Data available to DWS Investors, upon request and on a voluntary basis only, without making any representation and/or warranty that the information contained in the MiFID II Data is fit for any purpose. In particular, the MiFID II Data displayed in the EMT format may as such, without further explanations and additional information, in particular the information contained in the relevant sales documentation of the investment fund (e.g. Fund prospectus, KIID) not be sufficient or suitable to assist in taking an informed investment decision.
  • DWS reserves the right to discontinue disclosing information as well as the assistance in relation to DWS Distributor’s MiFID II requirements at any time.
