In the latest Annual PRI Assessment for the reporting year 2020, DWS reached 4 stars in 7 modules and 5 stars in 8 modules (0 to 5/ higher scores better) of all 15 PRI assessment modules relevant for DWS Group. The United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) are an important standard for DWS and guide our ESG investment process. Principle 6 commits us to providing transparency and to reporting on our activities and progress towards implementing the principles. DWS was among the early signatories in 2008.

“In line with the PRI's requirements, DWS has continuously developed and refined its ESG strategy, processes and products. These have and will further change over time as new standards and regulatory requirements evolve.” says Petra Pflaum, Chief Investment Officer for Responsible Investments at DWS.

The PRI Assessment Report 2021 relates to the calendar year 2020. It thus represents DWS Group activities in 2020 as reported to PRI in May 2021. The PRI has completely changed their assessment methodology starting with the 2021 assessment which means that results cannot be compared to prior reports. This change has also led to PRI not asking for a submission for the calendar year 2021. DWS Group publishes the 2021 PRI Assessment Report compliant with the PRI Publication Guidelines.
