Professional career

Dirk Goergen is Chief Client Officer of DWS and based in Frankfurt. He leads DWS’ global sales and marketing across wholesale and institutional client segments for all asset classes. In addition, he is Regional Head of the Americas, having been based in New York previously and serving as CEO of DWS in the Americas.

Dirk Goergen joined DWS’ Executive Board in 2018, after leading the Private Clients Sales Business in Germany at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for the further development of the digital distribution channels, the traditional branch business and the cooperation with strategic distribution partners.

Previously, Dirk Goergen worked for the management consultancy Bain & Company in the financial institutions practice. The focus of his engagements were on supporting financial institutions in strategy development, the implementation of strong cultures and the realization of major transformation projects.

Dirk Goergen is an alumni of the University of Trier Business Administration and Trinity College Dublin.
