Rafael Otero is a seasoned entrepreneur and business expert with an extensive global background in technology, most recently with a focus on payment products. Rafael joined DWS in March 2024 as Chief Operating Officer and got appointed a member of the executive board, effective October 1st 2024, with the responsibilities of Chief operating and Chief technology officer for DWS.
He joined DWS from Deutsche Bank where he most recently held the positions of Chief Information Officer and Chief Product Officer for the Corporate Bank since 2020. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Rafael (co-)founded many successful companies including Payleven, a mobile payment company. Early in his career, Rafael worked for several large global organizations in technology roles.
