DWS Wins Multiple Awards in Asia Pacific

DWS is pleased to announce it received two awards from Asian Private Banker in its Asset Management Awards for Excellence 2023. The awards signify a strong affirmation of DWS’ excellent track record in generating alpha consistently for Asian bond investors amidst difficult market conditions and economic uncertainties.

The Best Fund Provider – Asia Pacific Bond award is a second consecutive win for our Asia Pacific Bond team and Henry Wong, Head of Investment Strategy Fixed Income, was named Portfolio Manager of the Year in the House and Individual Awards category. The annual Asian Private Banker’s Asset Management Awards for Excellence honours and identifies outstanding providers of asset management products and services to private banks in the Asia Pacific region. A third accolade in Asian bonds was awarded by Benchmark.

DWS also won five 2023 Best of the Best Performance Awards from Asia Asset Management recently. Sean Taylor, Chief Investment Officer – APAC, was once again named “CIO of the Year in Asia”. This is Sean’s fifth win since 2016.

Asia Asset Management is one of the most influential media platforms* in Asia’s asset management industry and its annual Best of the Best Awards aims to recognize outstanding performance of global financial institutions.

Separately, Fund Selector Asia awarded DWS Invest CROCI Japan JPY LC a Gold in the Japanese Equity category. Shortlisted funds are selected through quantitative and qualitative methods based on alpha, volatility and consistency in performance. They are subsequently judged by an independent panel of professionals who select winning funds which they believe would outperform in the next 12 months.

In addition, DWS won six awards from Benchmark in the 2022 Benchmark Fund of the Year Awards. The strategy with the highest final score in its peer group wins the Best-in-Class award, while two outstanding achiever awards are given to strategies within a 5% margin below the Best-in-Class winner.
