For Australian institutions interested in accessing alternatives through liquid strategies, we offer products that invest in publicly-traded real estate and infrastructure securities including A-REITs, G-REITS and Global listed infrastructure.

A-REITs

Our A-REIT strategy aims to provide income returns and long-term capital growth by investing primarily in property trusts, and property related securities (listed) on the Australian Securities Exchange.

Headquartered in Sydney, the Australian real estate securities team comprises three investment professionals and a portfolio analyst. With local perspective, the team leverages the broader support of the global real estate securities platform situated in Chicago, London, Zurich, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

G-REITs

Our Global Real Estate Securities strategy aims to provide income returns and achieve long-term capital growth by investing primarily in publicly-traded equity securities in the real estate sector globally.

Headquartered in Chicago, the global real estate securities team comprises 17 investment professionals situated in Chicago, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney.

Listed Infrastructure

At DWS, we adopt a pure-play, asset-based focus to listed infrastructure which best replicates investment characteristics of private infrastructure to provide attractive risk adjusted returns relative to other asset classes. Our systematic valuation methodology adapts to the diversity of infrastructure and changing market conditions to uncover investment opportunities throughout the globe in a timely matter.

Investing in economic infrastructure such as airports, transportation, utilities and energy related assets, we offer a diverse range of strategies across the risk / return and geographic spectrums, including infrastructure equity and debt.

Sustainable Investments

2017 marked the 20-year anniversary of the founding of DWS’s Sustainable Investments group, which moved to DWS's Alternatives platform in 2016.

With 20 years of sustainable investing heritage, DWS’s Sustainable Investments team creates solutions for institutional, private investors, development banks, and governments, who share common social and environmental investment objectives and seek attractive financial returns. The business is organized around three components:

  • Financial Inclusion/Microfinance (including a focus on gender lens investing);
  • Social Enterprise Financing (agriculture, health, and energy); and
  • Clean Environmental Solutions and Renewable Energy.


The Sustainable Investments team represents experienced global investing capabilities that include several regionally-focused strategies in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
